Crape Myrtle

It’s time for the Crape Myrtles to start blooming and our first blossom is just starting to open. The large blossom starts out as a berry and pops open continuously until it becomes one huge cluster of color. The blossoms have a very long bloom period and the entire tree will become full of clusters. It will be in bloom until early to mid fall. It is a tree that is very common in Florida however it is extremely hard to find red. Vince looked several years before he located them, so we now have a red one on each side of the house that is illuminated at night for all to enjoy.
